No One Can Write Alone
I am passionate about assisting new and experienced authors in shaping their stories and getting them ready for publication. Based on my experience working at the mid-size independent publishing house New World Library, and as a consultant at the agency Fearless Books, I have developed a coaching program to help authors reach their full potential. Sometimes this is editorial support, such as weekly progress check-ins on writing, and sometimes it is administrative, such as managing deadlines, communication and publicity. I offer a range of services from a one time consultation to an ongoing working relationship.
Below is a sampling of the type of support I can offer, and I love to customize a program to fit your unique needs!

Books I Have Worked On
Here are a few of the most recent books I have worked on as a writing coach and a publishing consultant.
Order of the sacred earth
In the voices of Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit, the Planet cries out for defenders. The ecological crisis is upon us in part because religion has become anthropocentric (Pope Francis says “narcissistic”). But a new order that is spiritual and not beholden to any religion yet is open to wisdom everywhere can inspire a revitalized experience of the sacred. The Order of the Sacred Earth is a community and a movement whose vision is to foster a more just and sustainable world. We are bound by one vow: “I Promise to be the best lover and defender of Earth I can be.”
All the women in my family sing
All the Women in My Family Sing is a vital collection of prose and poetry by women of color, with topics that range from the pressures of being the vice-president of a Fortune 500 Company, to escaping the killing fields of Cambodia, to the struggles inside immigration, identity, romance and self-worth. The brief, trenchant essays capture the aspirations and wisdom of these powerful women as they exercise autonomy, creativity, and dignity and build bridges to heal the brokenness in today's turbulent world.
the desire for mutual recognition
The Desire for Mutual Recognition is a work of accessible social theory that seeks to make visible the desire for authentic social connection, emanating from our social nature, that animates all human relationships.
Using a social-phenomenological method that illuminates rather than explains social life, Peter Gabel shows how the legacy of social alienation that we have inherited from prior generations envelops us in a milieu of a “fear of the other,” a fear of each other.
